Living and Working with NVC
This course is for Buddhists who want to work with Nonviolent Communication_ (NVC) as a spiritual influence and practice. It provides an opportunity to expand and enrich our understanding of NVC, to integrate this with our Dharma practice, and allow that to deepen in a context of empathy and presence. There will also be the chance to explore how to share NVC with others, informally in our personal lives and/or professionally as part of our work and livelihood.
The course takes place over 3 long weekends at Dharmapala College in Birmingham, and a week’s retreat at Dhanakosa in the Scottish highlands. There will be peer support groups and mentoring in between the modules. The course will also include an introduction to Focusing, as a practice complementary to NVC.
Participants will be asked for at least four days formal NVC training in order to attend the course.
Led by Locana and Vajrasara, both experienced and qualified NVC trainers.
