Who is Sangharakshita?
Friday, 27 August (6pm) to Tuesday, 31 August (after lunch)
With Dhammadinna and Manjuvajra
Open to Order members and men/women requesting ordination.
This weekend will be co-led by Dhammadinna and Manjuvajra, both of whom were ordained by Sangharakshita in 1973, and who have a long association with Bhante both as a Teacher, Kalyana Mitra and Friend. They were fortunate to be taught to meditate by him, to attend many retreats and seminars that he led, be present at several live lecture series as well as having many personal meetings with him. They will share their experiences of Sangharakshita, discussing why they consider themselves to be disciples.
The weekend, therefore, will include personal memories and anecdotes of their relationship with Bhante and his spiritual and personal impact on them, which will also reveal Sangharakshita’s multi-faceted character. We will also explore some of Bhante’s key teachings.
There will be opportunities for reporting in, discussion, and Questions and Answers. Our aim is to bring Sangharakshita alive, with all his different facets, for people who may not have a direct relationship with him.
Suggested donation: £120. Accommodation: £15/10 per night.
Please book early. Our teachers put a lot of preparation into the seminars — sometimes several weeks of work. We would find it irresponsible to let them do all that and then cancel the even at short notice due to lack of participants.
If you consider attending, but aren’t as yet certain, please let us know. By booking early, you can help us prevent disappointment on all sides.
