Travel to Madhyamaloka
Arriving at Birmingham International Airport:
Take short rail link within the airport to Birmingham International [railway] Station (free), and then take any main line train going to Birmingham New Street Station (frequent service, takes c.15 mins & buy ticket before getting on train – £3.00).
There is also 900 bus – in evening ask for eveing saver ticket £1.80, no change given, as this allows you to change buses. (Do not use Express coach : not much quicker, but much more expensive!) Ask the driver or someone on the bus where to best get off to catch to No. 50 bus to Moseley.
Alternatively, taxi to Madhyamaloka about £15
Arriving by train at Birmingham New Street station:
Most trains arrive at main New Street station: here, go up (stairs/escalator) to ground floor and ticket barrier. Take taxi, or 5 min walk to bus from opposite Moor Street Station.
Moor Street Station serves the Chiltern Line trains from London (Marylebone), which are cheaper (£15 single no bookable in advance), slower, but easier for no 50 bus. [Don’t go on to Snow Hill, which is on the same line.]
By taxi from New Street Station
Taxi rank is straight outside New Street Station ask for
Moseley Village, no. 30 Chantry Road (around £10.00).
Returning, ring: 444 8888; or 249 8888; or 449 8888
Walk from New Street to no 50 bus stop at Moor Street Station
(5 minutes). This is easier than it reads! Do not go into any buildings.
As you leave New St Station ticket barrier, bear left, and go outside; (do not go up escalators into Palisades Shopping Centre).
Go towards Debenhams/Bull Ring Centre, (70m ) but turn left, go up the 10 steps and ramp, next to the road tunnel (traffic only).
At top, go straight across, and down ramp on other side. (Do not bear right through glass doors of Shopping Centre towards Selfridges.)
Keep to left as you go down ramp; at bottom is bus stop (opposite Moor Street station booking hall, outside another entrance to Pavillions shopping centre!)
No 50 Bus from terminus opposite Moor Street Station
Take 50 bus (frequent service), to Moseley Village.
Pay as you enter bus: (City or Diamond Buses: £1.70, no change given!). Journey time c 20 mins.
Moseley Village is as the road flattens out at top of gentle hill;. Texaco garage on right is a good landmark.
Get off at Somerfield supermarket, (if concerned about missing it, ask – the natives are friendly!), walk back 50 yards to the cross roads.
Chantry Road is on the opposite side; no 30 is on the left, 300 m walk.
Arriving at (Digbeth) coach station:

The coach station is just outside the city centre, on the no 50 bus route to Moseley!
Exit the coach station via the walkway which runs along the sheltered entryway for the buses. Across the road, at an angle to your right, is a semi-sheltered bus stop, Rea St. (one way street). Take bus 50 (£1.70 no change given) a follow directions, as above.
BY CAR
Moseley is easy to reach, c.3 miles south of city centre,
at intersection of A435 Alcester Road, between Balsall Heath (north) and Kings’s Heath (south), and B4217 = Edgbaston Road (with cricket ground 1 mile), Salisbury Road (135 is the former Buddhist Centre) and Wake Green Road
From North
Take A38 south through/under city centre; this becomes Bristol Road;
turn left onto dual carriage-way ring-road A4540; immediately cross A 441 Pershore Road, up to round about,
turn right on A 435 (signed towards Evesham), through scruffy shops etc of Balsall Heath. Moseley Village (smarter) is as the road flattens out and bends to left at top of gentle hill; Texaco garage on right is a good landmark.)
Turn right at traffic lights into Chantry Road. (off-license/bank/church/solicitors on each corner)
No 30, Madhyamaloka, is 300 m on left, park (for free) on the road.
From (South-) West M5
Take A456 Hagley Road into to city to Fiveways, a big roundabout/underpasss (with tower blocks), go up slip road to left, and round big roundabout onto A 4540 ring road eastwards, signed towards?
Go over A 38 (Bristol Road, and A441 Pershore Road) to roundabout;
turn right on A 435 (signed towards Evesham), through scruffy shops etc of Balsall Heath. Moseley Village (smarter) is as the road flattens out and bends to left at top of gentle hill; Texaco garage on right is a good landmark.)

From South (-East)
very easy!
Leave M42 at Junction 3 and come north c.6 miles on A435, straight through King’s Heath. (Bear right at traffic lights at Queensbridge Road/School; Moseley is half a mile on down gentle hill).
Chantry Road is first on left after traffic lights in centre of Moseley Village (intersection with B4217).
No 30, Madhyamaloka, is 300 m on left, park (for free) on the road.
